Thankfully, apart from a few scratches and a little wet, both horse and rider were fine and Rob was always going to take his other 2 mounts. I asked Rob when was his last tetanus injection….. So down the hill and through the keyhole, Cass and Alby fly by looking a million dollars. Seumas Marwood who was chasing a good clear and under time round on Wild Oats making everything look super easy, the mighty Cayla is a jumping machine and claimed the lead momentarily…..
Next was Adam Benson and Enthusiast who at 17 is a marvel and would jump the moon if his dad asked…. Nat also had a busy weekend riding in several sections and was doing an amazing job considering she was harbouring a knee injury from an unfortunate mishap at home several weeks beforehand — which would make riding difficult and uncomfortable for anyone….. Then, my third favorite pony in the world was out on course, Don Skipcello and Murray Lamperd on their first 3 star run.
Under The Clocks won this event 2 years ago and is now based in the UK after a fabulous 4 star campaign last year. He may only be little but he be mighty!! Rob was out on his second horse, Visual Laughter and the course announcer had made the call that it was possible if Rob went clear and under time, he may have actually snatched victory from Murray…. They were the second last combination to go and like watching poetry in motion — she gave it a red hot go…. Yes chick — Really!!!
You and William won!! Had Rob and Happy managed to get the win? Muz and Chris had held on…. Excited… How awesome!! How wonderful! And next time at a presentation ceremony guys…. I had an awesome weekend hanging out and amongst some pretty sensational people and beautiful ponies… and even though at a couple of times, the grey skies threatened to rain, and it was minus zero with the wind chill factor and I thought it would snow at one point, the weather gods did the right thing by everyone as well.
