After choosing any additional role services, you can click Next and then Install to being the actual installation process. Therefore no websites will have the FrontPage Server Extensions installed after you have completed the installation process. Extending a website does not configure any authentication methods. After installing FPSE on a website, you will need to configure an authentication method, such as Windows or Basic Authentication, before your users will be able to open or publish to the website.
Using the HTML Administration pages gives you the most flexibility in choosing which options you want enabled after you extend your server. You can extend a website by using the command-line tools, owsadm or owsrmadm. To extend a website, use the install operation, which takes the following parameters.
To determine which site instance number to use, open the IIS manager and select the "Sites" node in the tree. The ID column in the site list contains the unique identifier for each site, which you would use in the site instance number. You can temporarily or permanently remove FrontPage Server Extensions on a particular server.
To temporarily remove the extensions so you can clean or restore your site, use the Uninstall command. In this mode, much of the data about your site is preserved, so you can extend the virtual server again and return to your original configuration.
Doing so also removes any other files and folders that FrontPage Server Extensions installed. All of the data about your site excluding actual site content is deleted when you perform a full uninstall, so be sure that is what you want before you use the Full Uninstall option.

To remove FPSE from a website, you use the uninstall or fulluninstall operations. The uninstall operation removes FrontPage Server Extensions from your server.
You can also configure a separate NuGet feed or file share and distribute extensions to use internally within your organization. Windows Admin Center will show extensions available from the specified NuGet feed.
By default, Windows Admin Center points to the Microsoft official NuGet feed which hosts extensions published by Microsoft and other developers. Windows Admin Center supports multiple feeds and you can view and manage packages from more than one feed at a time.
The Available Extensions list will show extensions from all registered feeds. You can check which feed each extension is from using the Package Feed column. You can uninstall any extensions you have previously installed, or even uninstall any tools that were pre-installed as part of the Windows Admin Center installation. After uninstall is complete, your browser will automatically be refreshed and Windows Admin Center will be reloaded with the extension removed.
If you uninstalled a tool that was pre-installed as part of Windows Admin Center, the tool will be available for reinstallation in the Available Extensions tab.
